Parkinson Unity Walk

Every year, thousands gather in New York City’s Central Park for an event that is more than just a walk. Organized by the Michael J. Fox Foundation, for the past 30 years, the Parkinson’s Unity Walk has been a staple in the Parkinson’s community. 

AIDS Walk NYC

AIDS Walk New York is an expression of our forward-moving action, as we stride together toward a future where everyone has access to HIV testing, treatment, and care services. It’s a demonstration of solidarity against HIV and AIDS stigma. It’s a gathering in remembrance of those we’ve lost – and it’s an affirmation of our ongoing care for each other through good times and bad, no matter the weather.

Velocity Ride

Velocity is a cycling event through New York’s Hudson Valley that brings together patients, family members, supporters and medical professionals who all have one goal in mind: to help Columbia solve cancer.

Part of the Reimagining STEMM Graduate Education and Postdoctoral Career Development Summit organized by the National Academies in Science, Engineering, and Medicine, this session discuss the current state of Postdoctoral Workers, and whether some changes or re-structuring is required. I was honored to be the moderator for this session. Invited speakers included: Gary McDowell, Tom Kimbis, Elza Rechtman, Chanele Polenz, and Keith Micoli.
